Homage to Miss Ruba
Step 1: I initially read over the assignment to make sure my idea satisfies the objective (which is to create a reliquary paying homage to someone important). Step 2: An initial image pops into my head (I think of hands rising up while thinking of my art teacher). Step 3: I quickly sketch this idea down. Step 4: I branch off from this idea. Step 5: Then create other various ideas thought of. Step 6: Final idea is chosen. Step 7: I chose to create the sculpture with alginate as a mold and plaster for the filling material. Step 8: I then prepare my materials. Step 9: Go through the process of casting. Step 10: Assemble parts together. Process Complete.
