Daily Mapping

This collage reflects my mood throughout the day. I used newsletters to show the craziness of my mind learning lots of materials from my classes. I added some groups of people and words to show how much I was socializing with new friends and professors that day. I used repetition of people images and words.

This collage shows my obsession of food. On Thursday, I had two classes in a row in which made me so hungry by the end of the classes. Over the texts about class materials, I added images of food to illustrate my severe hunger. I used repetition of food images and tried to make a symmetrical balance.

This collage maps the smells I experienced on Friday. After one class that ended on 6:30pm, I headed over to ktown with my friends. I used trashes and objects in my room to reflect the smells I experienced from ktown. In this piece, I focused on different types of textures to deliver my senses.

This collage displays a strong visual and textures. Rough textures of the papers and the egg container emphasize my stress about the school assignments. I also utilized negative space of the human figures to add the feeling that I am with my friends having fun while stressing about the assignments; contrasting emotions during the weekend.

On top of the maps of New York, I glued various images that I encountered throughout the day. Looking close to each image, you can realize what things I spent time and energy on. I applied texture and scale and proportion to maximize my story.

This last piece is about New York. I felt New York involves both a beauty of nature and commercial factors such as shopping. In this collage, I applied contrast, radial symmetry, and emphasis to depict my reflection on New York.
