- today we are observing the colors of pigeons
- when going into this project I didn’t know how many different colors of pigeons there are
- colors seen today:
- typical – grey pigeon
- brownish red
- speckled
- light grey
- colors seen today:
- they all seem to act the same/ there seems not to be a real pecking order
- I think they are aware of each other, but I wonder what they think of humans and other organisms that interfere with them
- There is a woman feeding birds today and I’m surprised she doesn’t have more there are around 13- 15 birds.
- Also, I wonder why I never see as many pigeons in Union than I do in Washington
- maybe it is tree vs no trees there tend to be more pigeons in open spaces than not
- Overall pigeons have normal behavior today classified:
- as being aware of humans not afraid of them
- keeping to themselves have not seen them interfering with larger birds
- wandering in groups, pairs, or alone
- little to no flying quite sedentary.
