Space/Materiality: Intro. Project: Wire

- I chose the sneakers because the sneakers have a clean and crisp design. It is not too bulky and does not have crazy designs.

- My personal identity that reflects from these shoes is my social life. When attending Parsons, I do not like to not stand out. I want minimal as possible and the shoes achieve my goal. However, when my home friends are back in New York, these shoes take me to concerts, raves, parties, and events. It shoes two sides of me that I feel comfortable showing.

- I used the thicker wire to define the shape of the shoe and also where the seams are placed. For the thinner wire, I wanted to show the shape and the weight of the shoe. For the Botton of the shoe, I used the thinner wire the represent the shape and weight of the sole. The lines are a bit wavy because I wanted to represent a worn shoe. My connections are all tight and wanted to evenly spread them out to show the balance of the shoe itself.

- I used crossed contour and made it stable by having evenly spread out wires and showing the volume of the structure. I used less wires from my drawings because the more lines/wire on the shoe itself made it look messy and empty. The less lines there was on the actual model made it look more full.

- I would definitely do the eyelet of the shoes differently to make it more stronger and even. One of the strong aspects of my wire sculpture is how stable and sturdy it is from my tight connections. The back of the shoes also shows how the negative space shows the fullness of the shoe. The back of the shoes also shows implied lines.
