VINYLWARE

After lots of brainstorming, our group came up with the decision to create a product called Vinylware. We were inspired to create this tool using the words plastic, liquid, and records.

Vinylware attracts a specific millennial and music loving audience. Designed for sale at retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Vinylware is geared towards individuals in their late teens and early twenties.

Playing off of the resurgence of vinyl in pop-culture, we decided to make something that may be used for nothing other than to collect dust in many households, into a surface on which you can eat.

Our mission as a company is to bring back the memories associated with particular records and songs, while also bringing a conversation piece to the table, making dining with others a more enjoyable experience.

In the process of creating Vinylware, we came up with this mood board that visually described our vision of our audience and the kind of setting they would be in while using our product.

After a unanimous group decision, we decided the name Vinylware would suit our product best and target a younger audience.

THE ADVERTISEMENT I created combines whimsical style with a relaxed feel. The aesthetic of the set is supposed to represent a relaxed, cool, millennial who can do what she wants when she wants, like eat cheese using our Vinyware! The vintage look induces faux nostalgia relating to the records used for our product. Taylor swift is a huge celebrity in the music industry and she tends to use polaroids for her album covers, this advertisement resembles an old polaroid relating to her album and music in general. I loved creating this advertisement and working on this project!
