THESIS 2: PRESENTATION 2 REDONE FOR NEW THESIS IDEA

Due 2/20
●      Reflective five-paragraph essay: (see format) 3 pages My thesis in context: where will it lead me?

I find this to be a difficult question because who knows what the future holds!

But, academically and professionally, my goals are to continue to develop my aesthetic, my knowledge and my ability to work with nature and technology.  Technology has inspired and transformed my creative process.  Now, at the completion of my degree, I have developed a sophisticated set of technological and artistic skills that will allow me to work in an array of fields.  I have developed a strong work ethic and a keen sense of curiosity that drive my art, design and technology pursuits. I crave artistic exploration, and Parsons has provided it while equipping me with the skills I need to excel. I hope to further my artistic vision and am eager to see what the future holds!

●      Detailed presentation: a self-evaluation of aesthetic, material, technical, procedural

Adding this technological aspect — projection mapping — to my paintings has inspired and transformed my creative process.  Instead of just thinking about my painting, I’m also actively thinking about my projection and what it will look like against the painting; how the relationship between the paint, the canvas and the projections will all interact together. This has also allowed me to create visually appealing and meaningful abstract statements through multiple mediums.  Additionally, it has enabled me to become more in touch with the personal and almost spiritual aspects of design and technology, producing work that elicits stronger emotional responses!
