Art installation gallery. Minimalist room, statue.
I created my own art installation. I wanted to give it a modern and minimalistic feel in a room painted black and white.
Instead of creating furniture or fillers in my “world” I wanted to create a miniature statue, of a being lying down on the floor, with the string hanging from the ceiling. This art represents the weight of life and decisions. The feeling of the statue looks tired and dissociated, while the string represents doubt and worry of lack of productivity trickling down on the beings personal space.
I think that I broke the rules for good reason. Even though the directions say that I do not need to make a character, I don’t see this being as a character, but a creation and installation.
For this project, I used paint and ink, glue and clay, as well as the string.
