Yoko project: map

Below is my visual response to the set of instructions “draw a map to get lost.”

The idea refocuses a few parts of the prompt- the act of drawing, what a map is and how we can become/get lost. Drawn by hand and then through the computer, my map “Getting Lost in the Cosmos” explores a visual map of ourselves in comparison to the observable universe. The idea is with aspect and size ratio, we become smaller and smaller as we go through the map, ultimately becoming lost in the sense of how small and insignificant we are in comparison to the cosmos and beyond.

ps. I hope you can see this! I’ve tried posting a few times Thursday, it is unsuccessful, leading to a chat with IT and a re-do.
