SPACE AND MATERIALITY – WIRE-FACES

Project 1: WIRE-FACES

A pen and a pencil. No judgements. No critiques. Just the eyes and the trust between the hand and the eye.

The face tracings of our peers were drawn to the pencil by only looking and paying attention to them. Not for a second, our eyes moved to the paper.

With the help of wires, the drawings were traced and became 3D rather than just staying flat on the paper.

Learning to balance these 3D faces was another challenge. Only one tack that holds the wall, a couple of strings and the wire structure was a task to get through.
