In my 3d Modeling elective class, we have been exploring with various types and techniques of paper folding and scoring. It is fascinating to see how a very simple 2d object can become a very complex 3d from and structure.
By following a very basic and easy template it is such a great practice to just play and discover the endless possibilities that can be achieved by paper folding. While messing around folding and shaping the paper I loved how the curves and round shapes suddenly appeared. So I decided to take this form and turn it into a wearable/ usable accessory.
I not only bended the paper but also created a wire eating structure to hold my paper structure. This quick end practical exercise may be a leading way to jewellery design, who knows!
