Living in an environment where inspiration comes from everywhere, its impossible to not be inspired and driven by the sources around us. Especially, living in New York has widened my perspective and broadened the scope of the options for each project.
In this 3D Modeling class, we started to work with moving structures by simply connecting wooden dowels with a scissoring technique to quickly practice the functional version of modelling.
Basic Collapsable Structure
After having a couple of tries and getting my head around the logic and the structure behind it, I came up with a bag design where I used the collapsible structure as my primary focus. As I said, I was inspired from my surroundings and the creative environment around me and for the second leg of the project I added my creative touch on the Stella McCartney’s bag design from 2010.

I used plexiglass and clear string to tie the pieces together.
Although it would be hard to keep things in this particular design, having an invisible object is much interesting rather than shoving all your stuff in a body of fabric.
