Final Sound Artwork

Reflection
The sound artwork that I have produced was by thinking of a story that I made up. It is almost like for a scene’s background music or a sound that you can imagine the scene or image. For the simultaneity, I have layered some sounds together, for example at the start there was a hollow sound that simulates the strong wind that I recorded from a refrigerator and at the same time, there is a sound that I recorded from squeezing popcorn bag, which sounds like someone walking in the heavy snow ground. Putting both of the sounds together, as result it created the setting of a snowstorm and someone walking in the environment. The duration of the person walking in the snow continues until you hear one short and loud sound, which creates the image of opening and closing the door. Afterward, you will hear people talking and utensils moving and bumping together that you know automatically it is a cafe. Then, while the background sound of the cafe is playing, you may hear the person walking sound, step by step with some wood floor cracking sound. The step started at a normal speed and it becomes faster; it creates the image of the person went in the cafe and then found a seat, therefore the person walked fast for the seat in the cafe.
Further note, from making this sound artwork and creating this scene sound, I have learned how to create sounds that simulate something and can be used in films or plot clips. The sounds that you use for Premiere editing can be recorded not related to the subject that you are making, but it can create and simulates the sound for your subject by finding an object’s sound and hearing it + editing it to make it like its something else. Moreover, if I want to improve this sound artwork, I would like to add more complexity to it and try more abstract sounds; making it to an abstract music which produces a feeling and not a story next time.
