I found this assignment to be interesting and very thought provoking. While I struggled to think of something that could benefit from a redesign, I tried to think of something that didn’t necessarily need the change. It may be easy to think of a design hat could use improvement when the flaw is hindering your use of it, but off the top of one head is a much harder task! I decided that the production process could be reduced greatly by simplifying how denim jackets are typically made. Without extra seams and embellishments, the denim jacket is actually a very practical layer to keep around. By reducing time and cost of production, the jacket can be either sold for a lower price or the same price but with a higher profit.
