My interpretation of the prompt “Journey to the Edge” was the few minutes between body death and soul death, where your brain releases DMT and you have an intense whirlwind of visuals before dying officially.

Each image is done in black watercolor and charcoal, which aren’t mediums I use normally. I typically use a lot of colors but one of the challenges I faced with this assignment was trying to make the imagery scary, so I limited myself to grayscale.
