For the form wheel assignment, I made two sets of circles. I made a large and small set, and put the smaller set within the larger. I then wrapped the circles with white and off-white string. I used wire and string because they are two materials which contrast, but also compliment each other; I chose to use white and off-white string for the same reason. My original intent was to demonstrate the properties of “enclose” because the small circle is within the larger, and “perforate” because of the effect of the string wrapping. I realized that the smaller circle is not fully enclosed in the larger, but the circles do “divide” each other. So, my piece ended up demonstrating the “divide” and “perforate” properties of the form wheel.
