Trial and error

Low resolution prototypes

IMG_0067First of all, I started by doing a tiny mask with chicken wire and paper mache. But after realizing that this looked really similar to any regular mask I thought of combining my first chindogu idea with this one. That meant thinking of somehow putting together the three initial masks I had in mind, in an only product. For that I thought of making some kind of huge wood cilinder that you could rotate in your head to change the mask and put a hat and wig over it to disguise it.

I created my second prototype by making a cilinder out of chicken wire and sticking three really funny printed faces of myself in different moods.CaptureCaptureCapture

Also, I used some more chicken wire to make a hat and stuck some whool over it to asimilate a wig.

However, I didn’t exactly like how that turned out either because it looked very unreal and stiff. Therefore, I thought it would be better if I cut the faces and have them hanging of some kind of riel attached to the hat/wig, so that they can move that way. I managed these by modifying my second prototype.
