For this project I had an original idea of doing three portraits but once getting feedback from Lale, she advised me to push myself. I agreed that I could’ve done more but coming up with an idea was really difficult for me. I decided to go back to thinking the way I usually do, first coming up a narrative and then creating a visual. After doing this I instantly came up with this idea of this planet of scientist plant people that took their energy from ancient beings. I tried to challenge myself by making the piece a landscape because I have never painted a proper landscape. I think my skill can definitely improve in terms in the landscape but I am pretty proud with the way it came out. The project required watercolor, ink, or gouache which are the three medias I would say I am most comfortable with so that was a breeze.
