Loading the Gun
Loading the Gun is a gesture/oral-based game that can work the best between 2-4 people.
Every round completes in 3 counts. Participants clap on 1 and 2; they must take action on 3.
Three fundamental gestures in this game:
- A fist with a thumb up – this is loading a bullet. Every participants starts with zero bullets. Therefore, a conventional rule is that everyone starts the first round with loading a bullet.
- Thumb up, index and third finger out with the rest in the fist position – this is shooting. One successful shot means winning the game.
- A hand lays flat on the other hand (more like a finished clap) – this is dropping to the ground. Dropping to the ground is the only way to avoid a shot. But a person cannot take any other actions when dropping to the ground.
General Rules:
- Every participant can only take one action each time. For example, A can drop to the ground to avoid B’s shot, but he cannot load a gun while dropping to the ground.
- A shot can neutralize a shot. If A and B shoot at each other at the same time = nothing happens.
- Accumulation of shots – the amount of shots a person has is determined by the times of loading. If A loads twice and takes no shots in between, he can shoot twice continuously.
- A can only kill B by taking a shot while B loads his gun.
- Players can only drop to the ground three times in a row. If A drops to the ground 4 times continuously, A automatically loses the round.
Secret Rules (Advanced Version):
- Accumulation of 5 bullets (load the gun five times without shooting or being shot) equals to automatic victory.
- Players can clap / make moves faster to increase the difficulty of the game.
- No teamwork in this game. When the number of players exceeds 2, players can shoot anyone by pointing the index/third finger to the target. But dropping to the ground can avoid bullets from all players.
