Bridge 3: Portrait of a Park

Fort Tryon Park was mainly full of trees and natural wildlife, almost devoid of manmade elements, except for stairs and paved pathways. There were hardly any benches or street lamps and the area we walked through was mainly winding paths going in different directions. The trees were towering over us and made it difficult to see the city after a while. There were many birds chirping and squirrels scampering around. We only saw two visitors in the park on our way out, so it was very quiet and peaceful. It almost felt like a mini forest in the middle of Manhattan – a real escape from the city.
