This is an erasure poem – a form of poetry created by erasing words from an existing text, that we did in class. I wanted to first choose abstract words that would imply certain issues to show a progression from the current state in society and its problems in relation to equality and power and then have words relating to female representation to give context to the previous words and result in a call for change.
