  1. What was new to you in Shift Studio/ what is one thing that you learned that was new to you last Wednesday?

Since last wednesday I have learned about museums in the city that I was unfamiliar with before.

  1. What is one thing that you found interesting last Wednesday?

I found interesting when we saw and discussed Dain Yoon’s work with portraits.

  1. Did you do any “below the water, iceberg investigating?” – if so, what?

I did some further research on John Berger. I learned he is a British art critique and he has written many other books that analyze art.

  1. What is one question you have from last Wednesday’s class?

How are the projects in this class related to the projects in seminar class?

  1. What is one noticing you made about the Essay 1: Ways of Seeing – Berger reading?

In the essay, I noticed that John Berger writes about the effect of an art piece when looking and listening to music. I thought it was interesting the way the pieces’ perception changes with music playing.

  1. What is one question you have from the reading/ about the reading?

How does seeing a reproduced artwork change when it is in the same environment as the original artwork?

  1. What connections have you made between last Wednesday’s class and any other class you are taking? (Referring to content – or structure.)

In my Writing class we read and discussed an essay called, My Selfies and Myself. It was an essay about the impact and “success” of selfie. It was similar to the discussion we had in this class about selfies.
