Marcel Breuer is a Hungarian-born architect and designer that works to establish very elegant structures and furniture. He is a modernist and was one of the most popular designers of the 20th century. After visiting the Met Breuer this past week I was astonished by the design of the museum and this assignment led to me to explore this architect. As I was discovering his work, elegance was employed throughout all of his work. Using minimalism, his designs contain element such as cement, linearity, and a concept of “less is more”, resulting in elegant and powerful work.
