For this project, students had to choose an artist to create a journal through their respective artist’s perspective. I decided to choose Jean Michael Basquiat. His journal consisted of his thoughts in 1978, along with his prior experiences and some allusions to his future works. Overall, creating the content was time consuming and laborious however, it was the easiest part. Physically binding a book proved to be immensely challenging as I chose to bind my book with a perfect bind. This type of binding caused a lot of pages fo fall out. I had to use tape and clips to assemble the final product. In general, I thoroughly enjoyed the book making process and will continue to create books.
