Biggest Shift: “When I moved from Baltimore to California.”
What does shift mean?: “When you start with something and there is a transition, what you had before is changed.”
What shift would you like to see?: “We’ll see what happens…”
My partner was introverted about his answers, information from him was something to be worked for. I continued to press him for information, asking where he went to school, what his major is, and what his favorite fashion brand is. I found that freedom, the city, and movement and change is crucial to him. We did our cookie piece, I created a New York style image, replacing the statue of liberty with a cookie. For the pattern, I was drawn to the sails of the sail boat. I simplified the main sail and jib and formed a simple pattern. The sails are to my partner a way of showing his drive to move and progress.
