This piece is inspired by Soviet propaganda during WWII when the truth of their standing in the war was being dramatized to show a Soviet victory; in reality, millions of under-armed soldiers were dying on the fields. The white matt board represents surrender, whilst the red is the color of the Soviets, two conflicting outcomes. Propaganda is the way governments and organizations can conceal the secret of their reality. The purpose is to embolden and impassion people to continue to follow their ideology or their way-of-life.
