TIME MAP

For my “Time Map” I worked with two different motions interacting, though both subtle they both created interesting visuals. The first was the movement of smoke, the way it furls, unfurls, and disappears, forms a dream like state in the visual. The second is the dilation of the iris, nicotine creates a reaction within your retinas causing them to dilate then contract. These two layers are a mystic passing of time, that I was very excited to see worked how I had hoped. For the presentation of the images, I used the two actions again to influence the piece, I crafted a gate-like structure to represent how the eye is a considered a window or entrance to the soul, then I suspended the images like smoke is suspended in air. The final result was also open for alteration, as the images could be slid along the frame to manipulate the concentration of the images.
