For my primary sources, I looked into data and studies surrounding two different topics that will be reflected in my two project ideas: bicycle traffic/safety and urban zoning/costs. My research brought me to the NYC City Hall, which gave me extensive data on both of my topics. I also discovered data from the Manhattan Real Impact Real Estate initiative and the American Alliance for Museums. The city data on bike traffic and safety was extensive, giving me a far greater perspective on the rapid expansion of bike lanes in the city. Real Estate data, was a helpful closer look at what and how much, people pay for their apartments and subsequent services. The Museum Alliance was important for me to look at, as museums are considered the best indicator of human mobility and activity within a large city.
