For my graphic novel I did the story of Hinzelman, a german folklore character who is said to have helped kings and miners. These stories usually end with a lesson on greed and power, and thus he is a testing figure. I used a story of a king in Norther Saxony, who became incredibly powerful when Hizelman came from the depths under his castle. However, when Hinzelman wished to leave, they cast him under the castle and from there he revenged his poor treatment, by destroying the castle with vines.
