What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever witnessed?

If you could meet any dead person what would you say to them?

Ms: I would say I have been in love, because to me love means where the heart and home merge. There’s something about being so completely comfortable with another person, the smell of their skin and their presence, you just want to share every moment with them. I was in an on and off deeply-rooted secret relationship for 4 years, I even moved in and became part of the family.

Os: I had this crush in high school who was one of my good friends and it was one of those things that then developed over time and I became a little obsessed. But it was hard to suppress and get rid of  these feelings because I was seeing him everyday. I finally told him in junior year and we haven’t spoken since. I knew the outcome I think I just told him so I didn’t have to keep the feelings a secret and it made it easier to move on because I had said all I needed to.

Mv: I’ve been in love romantically twice in my life so far. I believe in love so deeply. I love the idea and concept of love. With anyone. Platonic or non platonic. My first love and heartbreak was 8th grade. Middle school love but I do believe it was real. My second love and heartbreak was when I was junior. My senior year I fell in love with my bestfriend.

Best and worst memory with your parents?

Ms: The best memory I have of my parents is not one in particular but a bunch of secular moments that collage together. For my mom I would have to say it was nights she used to read to me and for my dad it was always the sharing of a desert.

The worst memory I have with my parents is when I was newly sixteen and my school called child services on us and I was told that if there was any more incidents that I would immediately be placed into foster care. I remember sitting in my living room being integrated by a lanky man named Chuck while it profusely snowed outside.

Os: best: We have friends who run a yoga retreat in this small town in alaska. I have this great memory of waking up early and hiking to the top of this mountain with my family and I recall in that moment really appreciating them for who they were individually in that moment.

Worst: My mom swore a lot and I recall when I was in maybe 4th grade we were having people over for thanksgiving and we were moving this table leaf up stairs in I slipped and it dropped on my mom’s head, she was fine but it was the angriest I’ve seen her.

Mv: The best memory with my parents before they got a divorce was sitting in our family car together. My mom and dad sitting in the front seats and my sibling and I in the back, just driving anywhere. Either to grab food, a movie, or a school event. Just sitting in the back staring out the front view window and them looking at each other every once as they hold hands.

The worst memory with my parents is after they got divorced I was so angry towards my mom. I still don’t know why to this day why I had so much anger towards her. One day she was going on about how my dad could live with us anymore, that he had to find his own place so I grabbed this glass lamp next to me and smashed it on our tile floor. I later that day had to call my dad to tell what I did.

tell me a story under the influence?

Ms: It was in the dead of winter and I had been hanging with this group of people that I had grown remarkably close to in the oddest of ways. Corey a boy who I later recognized as the heart of our group had a summer home in the cape that we spontaneously decided to go to. An indirect friend of Coreys named Chiki replaced Terin a boy who was madly in love with me whose heart I later broke. Chiki’s car reeked of cigarettes and cannabis, I sat in the passenger’s seat because Corey and Andrea were coupled up in the back which was a usual occurrence that never bothered me. He drove like a maniac as if the devil was on his back, the music blasted so loud I couldn’t even hear my own thoughts. Blunts were passed back and forth and I could have sworn I was in an Grand Theft Auto video game. When we arrived at his house someone put on a Harry Potter movie and all I can remember is how Harry’s face looked deformed and constantly morphing into it self.

Os: It was my sophomore year in golden gate parked and I was with this group of stoner  upperclassmen and it was the highest I’ve ever been. I recall just how dark and foggy  it was there and how bright the street lights where near this patch of woods. Later that night we got donuts on geary st.

Mv: It was the beginning of junior year after my really good friend and I finished working the show Hairspray and we were going to Lilah’s birthday party. It was her 16th birthday and it was this huge house party. Lilah’s parents were home and were ok with everything that was going on. Her mom had smoked weed with us then my friend and I got really hungry. We went up to her kitchen and found tortillas and Nutella and said we were going to make the best “crepes” ever. We had both eaten one of our “crepes” when we got stopped in the middle of our second one with the birthday girl’s best friend saying to us “Did you get that nutella from the cabinet up there.” We said yes and then she said “Oh my god that nutella has shrooms mixed in it.” My friend and I started freaking out and found Lilah to ask her if it was true. She was already super trashed so it was hard to get a straight answer but she said “My mom just puts the powder from the shrooms in the nutella, you guys will be fine!”

Favorite food or meal? Any memories associated with ?

Ms: My favorite flavor is Earl Grey I love it in any form whether it’s tea, ice cream, chocolate, cake, and or macaroons which is my all time favorite variation of the flavor. The very essence of it makes my mouth water! When I drink it I think of my mom and when I eat my favorite macaroon it reminds me of the happy things back home.

Os: My abuela makes these tacos, beans, red rice, and the salsas and I had them for my birthday meal for years I forget when I stopped but her food always makes me super content. She also made these things called sopes which are a maseca tortilla with little rivets and melted cheese and refried beans and chicken and we rarely had them but they still bring back memories of her taking care of when my parents where out  of town.

Mv: A good o’ steak. It reminds me of eating them with my dad. Whenever I order one, he looks at me and says “I raised you right.”

What’s your recurring dream?

Ms: I’m in this alternate universe where everything seems to be normal life but then all this things start to go wrong whether it’s a natural disaster or some form of evacuation. I’m always fighting off something and protecting myself as well as constantly moving. I end up in this creepy attic, basement or church setting staring at furniture that has a bad feeling and then realizing I lost someone along the process.

Os: I always find myself falling but before I reach the ground I wake up

Mv: I dont think Ive had a recurring dream. I’ve only had this dream two times now

What’s the color of your underwear right now?

Os:black calvins

Ms: I’m not wearing any.

Mv: Black lace

Whats song do you listen to when you are dancing at home alone?

Ms: The Fratellis- Chelsea Dagger

OS: PRINCE erotic city or beyonce get me bodied

Mv: Brenton Wood – The Oogum Boogum

Most embarrassing moment?

Ms: I was 8 years old and about to perform in a figure-ice skating performance. I had been so nervous that I kept drinking water and as the performance begun I had to pee so badly but couldn’t leave. I held it as long as I could but as soon as we all linked arms to bow I felt the warm heat pour down my leg making a steaming yellow puddle drench my skates. The girl next to me began to freak out and point but the only thing I could focus on was the 300 people in the stadium watching.

Os: The one i can think of is last thursday when we were on our way to the moma

Mv: I was in 6th grade and thought I was so cool. So after school everyone had to wait for the line of cars of parents to drive up to pick up their kid. My friends and I were standing making fun of the cars and we saw this shiny bright blue little PT Cruiser and started busting out laughing making fun of this car. Saying “whoever is being picked up in that must be so embraresset!” The car drives up closer and my mom is sitting in the driver’s seat and she rolls down the window and says “MaryV get in, I had to get a rental car today and we are in a rush.” My friends look at me and laugh. That’s when I learned don’t make fun of cars.

If you could meet any dead person what would you say to them?

Ms: I would hug my grandma and ask her if she’s happy wherever she is.

Os:  I have no idea, all of my family members were ready to die when they went so bringing them back wouldn’t make them happy, I would say a famous figure like warhol or Keith haring but would they want to come back?

Mv: The Virgin Mary for sure. Just to ask her what the heck happened?

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever witnessed?

Ms: I have yet to witness something amazing enough to talk about.

Os: It was raining super hard one day and I was zeaning with my friends in this late night cafe and my friends started insisting we go and dance in the rain so we hopped in her little hatch back and found this little parking lot and she started blasting music and it was one of those moments where I felt connected to her and to the rain and we were soaked and laughing.
Mv: I think one of the most amazing things Ive ever witnesses is pureness in people. Their most fragile
