Extraction Of Architecture From Nature (Process)

These are some pictures of the process I went through for my project.

When I took a look at Karl Blossfeldts pictures of plants, it was difficult to know which ones would be best suited for extracting an architectural pattern from. So I spent a lot of time just sketching on a large sheet of rough paper, trying to annotate and break down the forms.

After I had drawn the final form I had to sculpt it in clay. This is the model half-done.

This is the clay model when completed.

A picture of the silicone mold ready for casting.

A picture of wax being melted for casting

A picture of chocolate being cast in the mold.

The Final Product.
