First, I created a static poster in Illustrator for the assignment using the lyrics “Are we human, or are we dancer?” from the song “Human” by The Killers. I used the question mark to imply motion in the poster as well as the green lines that move across the page. I also wanted to show the differences between the phrases “Are we human” and “are we dancer” so I made one all lowercase and one all uppercase to highlight this.
I then created a storyboard for how I would likely want the moving text to look like once I animated it in Photoshop.
I finally translated the story board into Photoshop and animated the text. I wanted to give a try sense of motion that fit the song’s beat and lyrics. I used the acoustic version of the song which the lyrics came from as a background.
