My process began with experimenting in my sketchbook and exploring with different mediums and ideas:
I un-bound the sketchbook and began to work in it. Some of the experiments I kept and utilized as pages in the final sketchbook, others I just used as inspiration or to know what I didn’t like: 
After I painted the cover, I re-bound the book with glue and clamps to add pressure:
