For the first portion of the wire unit in Space/Materiality, I made the Manhattanville Shuttle out of wire. Pictured above is the third and final iteration, with wheels, windows, a windshield, and a door. For the second, more abstract portion of the unit, I made an octahedron based on the word “taut”, the taut elements are the 64 wires that are stretched from one major edge to another.
