Shift: In the OED shift is defined as “A straight loose dress.”
As a prospective major in fashion design: women’s apparel, I see shift as a cylindrical cut dress that falls/hangs loosely on the human body rather than fitting it. Shift dresses are usually sleeveless, short and have a straight cut. They are personally one of my favorites as they are suitable for all body types.
Versatile: In the OED versatile is defined as “Showing facility in varied subjects.”
The word versatile not only describes me as a person, who is able to adapt to changes, new places or people, but also as an artist because I like to work with and incorporate various media ranging from pencils, paints and charcoal to digital or 3D art.
Motivated: In the OED direction is defined as “Enthusiastic, Stimulated.”
To work or move in the intended direction, I believe, one needs a motive. Once I have set my mind to accomplish something, I push myself towards completing the task in my best capabilities. I am a focused, active, driven person and so I chose the word motivated as it best describes my personality.
Intrepid: In the OED intrepid is defined as “Fearless, Undaunted, Daring, Brave.”
Intrepid is a very apt description of my nature. I am a very adventurous person who doesn’t hold back and loves to try new things. I am bold and love the thrill of doing things undone. As an artist too, I do not restrain from experimenting and exploring.
