My process started with drawing the grid on 18×24 watercolor paper. Then I mapped out and drew the shapes and figures that translated from the picture to my paper. Before I began my first layer of watercolor, I erased the grid the best I could. I struggled with watercolor, wanting to challenge myself with this assignment. I continued to layer the watercolor and then layered pencil, marker, and pens. My original idea was to give this piece a messy shaded look, which did not come out as successful as I had planned. Overall, I think if I had better materials and gave myself more time on the final product I would be happier with it.
