Posable Puppet: Bartholomew Carrot Top

Project 3: Puppetry

Mr. Batholomew Carrot Top is a head chef at a meat Restaurant in New York City called, Vegetable Beef. It has been in his family for hundreds of years and is VERY serious about his job. He’s been featured on Chef’s Table, and reviewed in Food Network, Garden & Gun, The New York Times and many more.

To begin creating this character, I looked at puppets, older illustration of personified animals and inanimate objects, and past character sketches. I created an armature wire figure, then added foil and used sculpy to create the textures and features of the character. I also used acrylic paint, cotton fabrics, buttons, and felt for clothing and other details to make the character come to life.
