What I noticed first handedly about his outfit was the pop of color which is clearly lacking in New York City. Being a person who truly believed in the power of color, I was immediately drawn to that draped candy red cardigan he threw on casually over a polyester utility jacket that imitated hard leather. The red was totally unnecessary, he could’ve left it at home because it did not look as if it provided him with any warmth whatsoever especially due to its sheerness and how lightweight it was however, it made such a drastic difference to an otherwise pitch-black outfit. It’s not to say that his black pieces are basic or boring; in fact, they balance out the colors tremendously. The hardware on his skinny jeans quickly became a victim of my obsession, something about rugged metal hardware just screams badass to me. We cannot overlook his bright neon headband that embodies sportswear in the 80s. This was such an unusual addition but says a lot about his character. In no way did the headband work with the red or his blonde hair and especially not his gold bag. However, the personality of that headband intimidated me and I swear even if I was wearing a 2000 dollar Versace jacket, I would still not radiate as much confidence as this man’s headband.
