There is some aspect of a plastic bag is more helpful than a paper bag to save the environment. The paper bag based on our knowledge seems efficient for the environment. However, it is efficiently based when we recycle them. It takes more landfill space than a plastic bag. Also, for sustainability, plastic products are stronger than plastic. Because of this happens, we use more than one paper bag when we carry things, and the manufacture creates more.
In the process of the production of these bags, the manufacture creates lots of greenhouse gases that can be the cause of global warming. Since a few days ago, I counted how many paper bags I got it from the store per day. Most of the store doubled the plastic bag. Thus, I got at minimum two per day, which means I got 60 paper bags per month. After I use them once, I usually do not reuse them because the handle side expands too much to hurt my hand. Also, sometimes, it tore off. Therefore, after it used once, it is useless. However, I realized the problem starts from here. The plastic bag possibly recycled, but I usually use them to collect the trashes in my home. Then it goes the landfill. Also, the manufacturer creates more and more every year.
The plastic bag lots of times inpour to the ocean. Many sea animals eat them, and it occurs the death. According to Greenerideal.com, 100,000 sea animals killed by plastic bag every year. Forty-six thousand plastic pieces can be found every square mile.
In everyday life, paper and plastic bags are institutionalized happens. However, it has to be fixed. To prevent the environment, we have to use reusable bags and recycle plastic and paper bags.
