Way of Seeing

Union Square, a place that I always pass by or go for taking a subway. I only know what they have there, like farmer marketing, sculptures, playground, and restaurant. By sitting there for around 30 minutes, I was more focusing on things that I ignored before. Many people walk through the park to get to their destination faster, but many people just sit there. The player of chess is not only the idle but also workers that take subway here. Homeless people here also could have fun; they dance with music, talk with others and lay down to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, which is much better than the air inside the subway station. All those finds make me begin to think the other aspect of this city that I did not realize before. It is not a city that only has its indifferent, busy face; it also is a city that everyone could find their pleasure and enjoyment. Sure, this kind of super city could enlarge one’s success or fault, but it also gives place for people to have a deep breath. By observing all those details that I ignore before, especially by seeing how people acted there, I change my mind of this city from the rigid impression to a new view. This changing also helps me to find my position in NYC better than before.
