what do you LOVE (and how can you use apply that to SS?!)

PART 1

A) List three things for each:

  1. What do you love?

I love working with aesthetics (external appearances), I love beauty and skincare products, and illustration

  1. What are you passionate about?

Skincare, art, beauty

  1. What do you want to grow in your life?

I would like to grow my abilities to create functional design, to combine my hobbies and interests with my strengths and abilities, and grow my own independence.

B) list 3 thing you want to protect/preserve/conserve (things that currently exist and you want to ensure they continue to exist)

Skincare products derived from natural ingredients, beauty/skincare products that are not tested on animals, packaging made from recyclable material

C) list 3 things you want to invent, innovate, improve, change, alter to make a better world.

Product packaging that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable, to make the concept of being environmentally conscious a bigger deal in the skincare industry, and to continue the collaborations between the art/fashion/beauty industries

D) list 3 things you would like to become and/or make with your lifetime of TIME, ENERGY, INSPIRATION.

Some kind of packaging design that will be used in many different products in the skincare industry, to become a kind of public figure in that industry, and to develop my own personal style that is unique and distinct to only me

PART 2

CARDIFF ANIMATION CHALLENGE: Incorporating my love of beauty and skincare and my abilities in illustration and color, I could create a short animation-style advertisement for a made-up skincare or makeup brand. In the advertisement, natural elements would be shown to indicate that the products were all made out of natural ingredients, and the product packaging would get recycled in some way. I think that this could be a great opportunity for me to encourage sustainable product design in the skincare and beauty industries while putting my love of illustration to use.
