ARTIST STATEMENT
Late November of 2015, I woke up at a psychiatric hospital by the prick of a needle. I had been forced by my psychiatrist to stay a few nights there, and my stay at the hospital was absolutely detrimental to my mental health at the time. I faked being stable and happy in order to get out of there, which is conceptualized by me injecting myself with the shot in my stop motion animation. The very first shot was the one that had woken me up, possibly the most unpleasant memory I have to this day, but I manipulated it for this project- I fixed myself, I was no longer blue.
