“basic observations” sculptural response

For this reading, I wanted to respond to the concept of architecture being an art cold and stoic, yet abstract at the same time. At first sight, the viewer can most likely tell that this object is supposed to represent a city, with buildings and windows. There are no designs or details whatsoever, to reflect architecture being a “cold” form of art. However, there is a sense of connection and liveliness through the bright colors and funky shape of the buildings, to show how architecture is an art still so intimate to humans, “connected with man’s daily life from the cradle to the grave”.
