Robert Rauschenberg was an influential American artist who was known for his collages combining paintings and found materials. I did a spin off of his collage work- I created this by starting off with images from my trip to Japan over the summer and gathered scraps from magazines to form around those images. The found material was a polaroid camera, which I reproduced on Photoshop and placed around the collage. I attempted to recreate the “kitsch” look of Rauschenberg with a bright, vibrant color scheme and illustrative elements.
