- I cut 4 small pieces to do different experiments.
- Try to use baking soda to remove the smell
- And then I use salt to see whether kombucha will react to a large amount of salt like other vegetable.
- I kept this closed for a week.
- nothing happen. When I open it, it’s still feels moist.
- I put it in the oven under 75 celsius for 30 mins.
- It’s become dry but still has a soft touch to it when I took it out.
- I put another piece in the oven under 100 celsius for 1 hour.
- It become completely dry.
- I then out this one back in the oven under 110 celsius fro another 1 hour.
- The color become dark brown red and it can easily crack.
- However, even under this condition, once I put it back to water, it starts to absorb water right away and turn water into light yellow.
- I put the last one into the oven under 170 celsius for an hour.
- The result is astonishing.
