For my sequential recut, I want to retell the story of Palestine and Israel through the perspective of two kids, one from each country. By retelling the stories through. Although I am Arab and Muslim so a lot of my ideas are supportive of Palestine being a state on its own, I do think often people are told who and what to support through their parents and their community and that should be changed. I want to show the pain of the Jewish people through the stories from the holocaust and why they had to find their own land in the Middle East. I want to also highlight the pain that the Palestinians received when the Israelis took over their land and the evacuation of the Palestinians to neighboring Arab countries. I want to highlight displacement on both sides through trauma and evacuation by juxtaposing kids playing with toys and fighting over possession vs kids suffering due to the ongoing war going on due to both countries trying to gain possession of the land.
