How can institutional and “personal archives” relate to your Bridge 2 research project? What kinds of archives would be most relevant? What type of information might they contribute that an institutional archive would not, and vice versa? A: In my Bridge 2 Project I’m looking into Flat bush and How flat bush feels like home to me, it could benefit me because I know some historical information about flat bush although I want to keep it a visual thing not so focused on the informative aspect. After discussing it I realized maybe a library of even those books that show how fashion and the store fronts changed over time in the neighborhood.
Write a reflection of approximately 1 page that outlines two different ways of formulating your research question. What are the strengths and weaknesses of each?
A: A way to formulate my research paper would be first find something I’m passionate about and worth looking into, then eventually once i find that I want to ask myself do I know enough about this, in this case not enough so I need to completely amerce myself in it because I want to know everything at first hand. I’m a visual person. Also, I would mind map afterwards try to figure out what I want to say. That’s how I formulate my ideas. The strengths would be the organization aspect but a weakness I always have is self critique. After its on paper its out of my head it physical and i start seeing its flaws and that always messes me up.
