Studio Assignment 1

When it comes to my work I look at it through the lenses of Identity and the aesthetic of Hyper Realism and personal. I say this things because I go on these artistic journeys where it’s like I’ll pick up mediums get bored of them then they’ll come back around. I’m not sure if it’ll be a visual thing or an audio presentation. Regardless it’ll all surround the idea of it being hyper real, personal and how I present myself to the world and a small facet is dedicated to fantasy. It does relate to what we discuss in class, in the way we discussed being invisible and this idea of being seen but also being overlooked and misinterpreted. I feel like when people look at my work the first thing they see is distortion and unworldly. I see my work like that as well. It’s weird that I believe that I have this obligation to help/guide queer people of color to the biggest potential just by living careless and I believe that’s illuminated in my work and how people see me.
