This activity was made in class in only 30 min, 1 min per each drawing. I started the first 10 drawings standing up but then I felt tired so I sat down. Then, I felt how the pain on my hand increased with each drawing and I was wondering all the time when will we stop. But I knew that in order to get the activity done, I couldn’t stop even if my hand or arm were in pain. When we finished the activity, I realized how much my drawings changed, the position, the weight of the lines, the shape of the object; they were constantly shifting. So I got the purpose of the activity: to understand graphically how many shiftings can happen from only 1 object in 30 mins. The changes depended on us, physically, mentally and visually. The more we draw, the more we felt tired and that reflected on the drawings. Also, the more we draw, the more we got better the shape, the angles and the contour of the object. Even though they were small changes, they represent how is to shift.
To sum up, I could understand better that shifting doesn’t have to be really huge and important changes, it can be daily and common ones. All we have to do, is to observe more our environment and grasp all the changes that happen just in a short time or even at the same time.
