Designer Statement

As an Ecuadorian-raised fashion designer, the traditions and culture of indigenous civilizations are the base of my inspiration. Their lifestyle and their craft convey essential principles that can be resumed in the word: essentialism. The handicraft and making process of their work carries essence, identity, and honesty. For this reason, I believe it is essential to bring a sense of tradition to create meaningful products in a modern world. Moreover, I consider that the meaning of luxury in the contemporary fashion world has been taken apart from everyday life, as it has not been adapted into the ease of the present lifestyle. For this reason, making an essentialist approach, I pursue to bring back the luxury into the classic and timeless pieces through the uniqueness of craftsmanship and artisan work. In this way, my goal is to shape the way people perceive fashion, how they live fashion by having a sustainable and yet timeless wardrobe.
