This homework was about thinking about shift in a different way. By using one verb that can define shift, we had to represent that verb with a drawing, sculpture and video. I chose “to flow”, as shift is about moving and going from one way to another. First I though about dancing, specifically ballet as ballet dancers always have to think about flowing with the music. Their body language isn’t straight, is so delicate, it has to flows. On the other hand, when making an sculpture I thought about water. There is not other thing that flows more than water. So I came up with the idea of representing how water can flow if it spilled from a glass. And finally, when I was walking on sunday through Union Square Park I saw this man playing a xylophone. I stood there to listen to him and when he finished I ask him were did he learned to play music and he told me: My hands just flows with the rhythm. So, I stood there and when he started playing again I recorded him.
